Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi says Iran urges neighboring countries to block the United States and the Israeli regime to abuse their soil to launch attacks against the Islamic Republic.

Araghchi made the remarks in a phone conversation with his Malaysian counterpart, Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Bin Haji Hasan, saying the request was based on “legal, ethical and Islamic” grounds.

He condemned the US-Israeli attacks on civilian infrastructure, including hospitals, schools and residential buildings, and reiterated that Iran will continue to defend its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Iranian armed forces have been launching barrages of missile and drone strikes against US and Israeli assets across the region, including strategic targets in the occupied territories, since February 28, when the US and Israel began their war of aggression against the Islamic Republic.

Iran has also blocked the passage of ships associated with the US and its allies in the Strait of Hormuz, causing global energy prices to rise.

Araghchi noted that Iran’s measures at the strategic waterway were in line with its international rights and that insecurity there was the direct result of the US-Israeli aggression.

The Malaysian foreign minister, in turn, said his country condemns the aggression against Iran and called for efforts to bring peace and security back to the region.
