Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron held a telephone conversation late on Tuesday to discuss latest developments in region and reducing tension in West Asia.
During the phone call, Pezeshkian emphasized that the root cause of insecurity and instability in the region is the hostile actions taken by the US and Zionist regime and its massacres of people in Gaza and Lebanon, as well as the launching of two imposed wars against Iran with the participation of the United States.
Criticizing the destructive approach of some European countries in supporting the crimes of the United States and Israel in the region, he called on these countries to abide by the international law and the rule of law in the world.
Following the start of the joint military aggression by the United States and the Zionist regime, Iran gave a decisive, targeted, and proportionate response to this action.
As part of this legitimate response, the military and security positions of the Zionist regime in various cities of the occupied Palestine, as well as military bases of the US deployed in the region were targeted with the precise missile and drone attacks, Pezeshkian underlined.
