Memoirs: Islamic revolution sparked by Ashura Uprising

It has been widely reported that the late founder of the Islamic Republic used to stress that the Islamic revolution was sparked and inspired by the Imam Hossein (‘a) movement and Ashura uprising. Imam Khomeini had always shown special devotion for infallible members of the Household of the holy prophet of Islam.
Imam always had spent Ashura in Karbala during his stay in exile in the holy city of Najaf.
