Leader visits Imam Khomeini&#۰۳۹;s Mausoleum on the eve of anniversary of victory of Islamic Revolution

Concurrent with the beginning of the ۱۰-Day Fajr celebrations that mark the ۴۶th anniversary of Iran’s ۱۹۷۹ Islamic Revolution, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Khamenei attended the mausoleum of the founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini early hours of Thursday morning.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution then, by attending the martyrs&#۳۹; cemetery of the ۷th of Tir incident and the martyrs of the prime minister&#۳۹;s office explosion on the ۳۰th of August ۱۹۸۱, honored the memory of the martyrs Beheshti, Rajaei and Bahonar and their martyr companions.

The Ten-Day Dawn (Fajr Decade) is a ten-day celebration held between ۱ and ۱۱ February.

Its beginning coincides with the date of Ayatollah Khomeini&#۳۹;s arrival and its ending with the Iranian Revolution; a day called Islamic Revolution&#۳۹;s Victory Day or ۲۲ of Bahman.

Ten-Day Fajr (Ten-Day Dawn) starts ten days before the victory of the Islamic Revolution, marking the return of the late founder of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini to Iran.

On February ۱, ۱۹۷۹, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Revolution returned to Iran after ۱۵ years in exile.

Imam Khomeini was the political leader of the ۱۹۷۹ Islamic Revolution of Iran which overthrew Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah (king) of Iran.

Ayatollah Khamenei visited the holy shrine of Imam Khomeini and, after reciting Fatiha, paid his respects to the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Leader of the Revolution also visited the graves of the martyrs of the terrorist attack on July ۷ and the terrorist bombing of the Prime Minister&#۳۹;s office on September ۸, ۱۹۸۱, honoring the memory of these martyrs, especially Ayatollah Beheshti, Mohammad Ali Rajai, and Bahonar.

Ayatollah Khamenei also visited the graves of the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution, the Sacred Defense, and the martyrs who defended the shrine, and he prayed for the elevation of their ranks after reciting Fatiha.
