The Union of Islamic World Students invites all Muslims to show solidarity with the uprising of Arab nations by shouting Allah-o-Akbar (God is Great) from rooftops. The union has called on all Muslims to support the people of Egypt, Tunisia, Jordan and Yemen against global arrogance by shouting Allah-o-Akbar on February 10, Pro-democracy protests in Arab countries started in Tunisia where a popular revolution resulted in the historic overthrow of the country's former president Zine El Abidin Ben Ali who fled to Saudi Arabia on January 14, 2011 after days of street protests put an end to his 23-year rule . Inspired by the uprising in Tunisia, Egyptians have staged similar pro-democracy protests since January 24, 2011, calling on President Hosni Mubarak to step down from power after three decades in office . Millions of protesters across Egypt have defied army orders to return to their homes as rallies continue for the 16th day despite unprecedented concessions made by the Egyptian government -- including a pay hike for workers -- to calm public anger . Thousands of demonstrators are still camped out in Cairo's Liberation Square as they refuse to stop their campaign to topple the Mubarak regime . An increasing number of demonstrators are also turning their anger towards the US over its stance on the Egyptian revolution . The people of Jordan have also held demonstrations in support of the popular uprising in Egypt. Jordanian King Abdullah II replaced former Premier Samir Rifai with Bakhit on Tuesday, after three weeks of pro-democracy protests . Revolutionary movements in Tunisia and Egypt have also sparked opposition protests in Yemen where tens of thousands of protestors have staged a mass rally, calling for he ouster of President Ali Abdullah Saleh .The unrest in Yemen began after the ruling party passed a law making Saleh president for life. The rallies have been continuing now for weeks without any results .
