The 3rd annual Moscow International Forum «Islamic Finance and Investments will take place in Moscow on 26-27 May, 2011 Currently, Islamic finance worldwide is no longer regarded as a marginal alternative, but, along with the conventional financial system, becomes a financial system, which is widely used by customers, regardless of their ethnicity . The development and status of Islamic finance in the world, their stability during the global financial crisis, the growing interest of Russian business and Russian citizens, an initiative of the President of Russian Federation to establish a world financial center in Moscow, the need for Russia to attract foreign investments in innovative development of the country and a number of other factors have created real preconditions for moving forward towards introduction Islamic financial model. Over the past few years, there have been positive developments in Russia in the area of informing the Russian business community, establishing some professional platforms for sharing experiences, central among which is the Moscow Forum, expanding international contacts with the Islamic finance and investment community and creation of Islamic equity funds for the investment in the real economy of Russia . Interest in the Moscow International Forum «Islamic Finance and Investments», as a professional platform in the Russian capital, is not accidental. The forum proved to be a gathering of high level international participants targeted to practical actions towards development of the Islamic finance in Russia Forum 2011 will be a logical continuation of a number of events occurring in the period between the forums. Leading economists and financiers will discuss the current situation and the specifics of Islamic finance in the world and Russia in particular. Dialogue with regulators, for the first time included in to agenda, will give an opportunity to learn regulators vision and possible approaches to the regulation of Islamic finance in Russia.
